We are proud of the service that we offer our clients and we are committed to ensuring that we consider the environment when delivering that service.
The award of ISO 14001 certification by outside experts who are used to judging standards on a daily basis in a wide variety of trades and industries has helped to confirm this commitment.
ISO 14001 is a Standard for evaluating an organisation’s working practices, procedures and processes that relate to Environmental Management.
STP are proud to be able to offer support to our customers to help them reduce their environmental impact. Please speak to us about how we can help you with toner recycling and helping you to Act on CO2 and carbon footprints.

Our current initiatives include:
Dedicated Green Catalogue
A “green” catalogue, which features products that are Environmentally Friendly (recycled or from a sustainable source) or part of the Fair Trade scheme. These products are also highlighted in our main catalogue with the “Green” logo. Local deliivery arrangements can help us all to Act on CO2 emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.
Toner & Ink Cartridge recycling
This is one of the initiatives that particularly impressed our ISO 14001 assessors. STP can supply a free toner & ink cartridge collection bin. We collect the contents when we are next in the area and arrange the recycling of these products. This service is available at no cost to any company or organisation even if they are not one of our customers.
STP will help you to reuse furniture when you need to make more space for additional staff, but even the most cared for desk or chair will eventually reach the end of its life with you.
We have always offered a furniture removal service to our customers. Old furniture is donated, resold, or disposed of following specific guidelines to meet recycling initiatives.
Waste Batteries and Accumulators
Regulations came into force on 5 May 2009 establishing a new Producer Responsibility system for the collection, treatment and recycling of waste portable, industrial and automotive batteries. This follows a Europe-wide Batteries Directive laid in 2006, which aims to increase battery recycling rates across all European member states. STP Offer a take back scheme under Regulation 31-1(a) where batteries can be returned to our retail shops or warehouse. We can also collect from our commercial customers. Posters are displayed at our premises and this information on the website complies with Regulation 31-1(b).
